Located a short 150 metre walk from the villa is the home of Hihi wines. This new wine label has already received awards and critical acclaim for its 2004 red wines including a very drinkable Pinotage. In 2006 a small winery was established producing 500 cases of wine including Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinotage, Rose,  Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Beekeeping

You'll get a buzz out of this on your holiday!
 

We have been beekeeping for three years and we have approximately 300 commercial hives which produce in excess of 10 tonne of honey. The bees are also used to pollinate kiwifruit, avocados, and apples. It has turned into a family affair as our two teenage boys have taken it on with great enthusiasm accompanying Mark on every possible outing. So come along and suit up and venture into the working lives of a humming beehive.
